What's yours?

During a Pennywise/Bad Religion concert I was flung to the ground and stepped on repeatedly. Shortly after, someone reached up and scratched the back of my neck, creating a very long scar. Luckily it wasn't infected.

ok so i guess i'm the only one who has ever been to a hardcore show.
the craziest was seeing terror. It looked like something out of lord of the rings. No kickboxing(thank god) but windmills a plenty.

What makes you say that? Just because I've never been injured at a hardcore show doesn't mean I've never been to one. A few hardcore bands that I've seen: Righteous Jams, Alleged Bricks, Supreme Commander, The Deadly Sins, Dropkick Murphys, The Twats, The Goons, The Daycare Swindlers, The Scare, A Global Threat, The Unseen, The Casualties, Modern Life is War, The Circle Jerks, 86 Mentality, The Saint Catherines, Leftöver Crack, Witch Hunt, Citizen Fish, Against All Authority, Deep Sleep, and Strike Anywhere.

So apparently i'm wrong in thinking that the misfits were an early influence on hardcore?

No, you're not wrong at all. Walk Among Us and Earth AD were instant bona fide hardcore classics when they came out. This cultoflunadoom guy is one of the biggest idiots I've seen in ages, almost everything he says is wrong and retarded.
sharei've seen (what is left) of the misfits in 2002. after the encore, the crowd erupted into a violent, drunken, drug-induced riot of punk rockers vs. police officers in the middle of the night. literally, a full-on riot, including helicopters and spot-lights. badges & mowhawks flying like the fourth of july. total f*ucking insanity. that's punk rock. i'm 22 years old, and i have lived this movie. did i mention i'm also canadian?
shareD.R.I. in 88 in Portland, Oregon.
I've never seen a crowd that intent on causing injury to one another and I've been going to shows regularly since 86.
During a local show featuring Far From Ruin and Born For Battle a guy once was running around the circle pit with a bike pedal, hitting kids in the face.
sharethe adicts had a crazy mosh with all the *beep* they throw at you, kinda like gwar
but i got an bloody nose that made me look like andrew w.k., off his i get wet album, right before being punched in the stomach at the dead kennedys

i saw leftover crack once and some *beep* giant skinhead jumped on me from the stage when i was in the pit and caused me to hyperextend my knee. worst *beep* pain. worse then being kicked in the nuts. the circle jerks at the 2007 warped tour out in pomona had a pretty cool pit.
shareLast summer in San Fransisco I saw Municipal Waste open for a shortly reunited ACCUSED. During the ACCUSED set, I felt something scratcing the hell outta my back. I turn around to se a couch being carried into the pit. It was one of the square legs tearing me up. It was funny to see this couch upended, bobbing up and down through the crowd. It ended up as a place to dive from, because the stage was only a foot high. Of course I've been hurt alot worse. But that couch was punk rock!
Those Municipal Waste pits are nuts too.
Born Bad sometime in June, the circlepit was rediculously huge, and there was barley anyone just standing around.
last ight, half gorilla, the circle pit was huge and there were people playng football and skateboarding in the middle of it.

You seemed to be the only person to mention hardcore bands. I saw Witch Hunt, they are good, not necesarily hardcore though. *beep* Leftover Crack is SKA, not hardcore.
Anyways, when i saw The Holy Mountain, *beep* was intense. A stool was brought into the pit for people to jump off. People just running back and forth thorugh *beep* A competely NAKED MAN. Awesome sauce

lol@ Leftover Crack being Ska. Ska elements maybe.
sharemost of the time ive seen agnostic front its been pretty wild, seen the crowd beat up the bouncers. they are not hardcore but cannibal corpse has some wild pits, came out of that show with boot marks on my back and black eyes.
shareCircle Jerks, LA's Wasted Youth, Entropy, VOA at the Stardust Ballroom, Hollywood, CA 1985...
During Entropy's set they complained about how boring the pit had become now that it had turned into just a "circle." The chaos was gone for them. They said the way they like to bring back the chaos of the earlier days was to just jump in the pit but go the opposite direction of everyone else...the next song the floor was crazy, I got hit in the face, blood.
I was 13 years old, second show I had gone to, after the show there were cops lined up on Sunset Blvd and helicopters in the sky.
