this is happening now

the sun is actually going into its supernova stage now. thats why its getting so hot every year and this is why there is global warming. mind you, it wont go supernova for at least 50 more years so we're safe.

The caps are not necessary, Sir. In fact, they tend to invalidate your arguments.

Now, the Sun may indeed go supernova. There is enough mass in our Sun than previously thought, largely in black matter that has not been part of previous equations in predicting the outcome of a dying star. The diameter of a star is no longer the definitive factor of its mass regardless what the spectrograph returns.

We need to replace our outdated equipment to take advantage of brilliant new theories.

To be fair, I suspect he was only shouting because he thought his words might have a long way to travel, getting through your cranium.

Me, I don't really believe that you're genuinely as stupid as you're pretending to be. You'd be unlikely to be capable of writing, for starters. And if by some fluke you were, it would hardly be much fun trying to explain reality to you.

So you just carry one, and I'll agree with you. Yes, that ol' Sol's got lots more mass than those so-called 'scientists' think. And the reason that the planetary orbits seem to show otherwise is, er.. hmm. Why was that again?

Oh, golly gee. (head down, kicks a stone)

I guess that is why there is no visual difference with the sun now and 1000 years ago.

I guess you totally don't care about the fact that a star going into supernova stage is visible from thousands of light years away.

Also you are a hypocrite, "it will happen in 50 years so it doesn't matter". Don't care about your future kids huh? Or are you so aware of the fact that you're a douche, that you realize the chance of you finding a woman to have kids with you is 0.00%?

you're right, the sun isn't going nova until 2012, the mayans predicted it, so eat that with your lunch, mr grey popont

Sorry but the sun is too small to ever actually go supernova. If our sun does die, it would first expand into a red giant, swelling to around the orbit of Venus and maybe Earth,

.........Actually the earth will possibly go into a five billion years, not fifty years, something I'm not that worried about. Solar flare activity, like the situation in this movie could happen. Also increased solar activity does cause the average temperature of the planet but if I post that some Al Gore zealot will come on here and say it is all caused by suburban soccer moms driving SUVs, folks not using CF bulbs and George Bush the second and I'm a hater and a denier. Sort of like what happened when I discussed nuclear winter on the "Jericho" board. LOL
