Acting was crap

How can the reviewer claim that the acting in this was convincing? While being a well informative "docu-drama" with special effects worthy of hollywood, the cast were awfull at portraying the characters. Every time i watched the Scottish guy it made me cringe, plus that scene where they are running a computer simulation of what an earth quake and explosion would do was complete nonsense, as if the scientists at yellowstone were the only people on the planet not to know what a supervolcano is capable of.

Please tell me you're kidding? THe entire point of the scene with them trying to work out what was going to happen was that they didn't know how much of the magma is eruptable... meaning it was not actually liquid enough to erupt. they were trying to establish how much magma there would need to be in order for there to be a super eruption. not all eruptions from supervolcanos are super eruptions. they explain that in the program... right after the scene...

i stand corrected, but you have to admit the acting was pretty unconvincing :P

It's ok. I mean considering it's only a tv movie they're is some pretty good acting. Were watching this in my science class. :D

sorry, but I've seen this movie many times, and I was very impressed with the acting by the man who plays "Rick". I thought he and most the others were great. The storyline was compelling, the background information was acurate. Its a great movie with great acting!

I really like the acting.

Great movie as well. It's hard to know if this really happned or not when you see the interviews in the movie. :)

I thought acting was pretty good on the whole.
It's difficult in this type of movies to explain the scientific aspects and yet make the dialogues sound and look realistic.
The first Wendy scene was very smart in this respect to name one, and I totally liked her.
