Same repetitive...

This seems like the same repetitive thing that they have done so many times, only wait, they changed a few things. The voices are extra annoying and the main character is a girl that see's monsters, you know, because that REALLY makes a difference

The big difference here is Judd Winick who has done some GREAT writing in the world of comics (read Barry Ween, Boy Genius or his work on Batman). You could have the most original character with a horrible writer and the show is going to suck, but if you put a talented writer on an old show, they could make it the greatest show ever.

Personally, I like this cartoon and have some high hopes for it.

Cartoon Network is getting a lot of these types of shows that are only going to be on for a few months. Why are they reaching so low?

reply

Yeah, it's just that they renewed the show for a second season.

Like Samurai Jack? Oops that was original. Powerpuff Girls? Original. Dexter's Lab. Creative. I also believe Avatar: the Last Airbender was on later than Juniper Lee too. Juniper Lee is much more entertaining than the shows it supposedly "ripped off" anyway. But believe what you will that's your own business.

Darn skippy! You forgot The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy though, along with alot of the non-anime stuff they do with Adult Swim. Just had to put my two cents in...

Your logic is insane and happenstance, like that of a troll.

I have to agree with ladiraine though.
Although this show reminds me a lot of Buffy's dry wit, the jokes aren't half bad.

Personally speaking, I don't care much for the opening song (as compared to Samurai Jack,Dexter's Lab...wait those are all Genndy's...nevermind)
It could've been a lot worse.

CN is doing rather well so far. They should keep this show along with Courage, Foster's, Dexter's lab,Powerpuff,Samurai Jack,MegasXlR,Mike Lu and Og and even King Arthur's adventures.
The rest are negligible, quite negligible.
