'Eyes' in the 'Desperate Housewives' slot

Hey, fellow "Eyes" fans... the best slot in ABC's schedule is open!

Today, I read an article about how ABC's intended summer replacement for "Desperate Housewives" was yanked from their schedule, for fear of controversy.

ABC had a reality show called "Welcome to the Neighborhood" lined up, and due to air two weeks from now. But this is no longer the case. (You can read more about it on msn's television page.) Now, one of the most coveted timeslots in primetime has been left vacant. What better show to air in that slot over the summer months than the wonderful "Eyes"?

I've just sent a detailed e-mail suggesting this to ABC, and I urge anyone who is a fan of this show to do the same. The network's powers that be are probably still in the process of trying to find a show worthy of inhabiting the 9 o'clock Sunday night spot. "Eyes" is a perfect fit.

It's worth a shot.

I'm sorry. A cancelled reality show will only get replaced by another reality show. I guess they are what people watch.

Halfway decent drama seems to die without trace these days. It's a miracle these shows are still so good, since the chances of them being killed seem about 90%. It must be difficult investing time and talent into these shows, and I think it says a lot about how good this talent is that they can still put their best into these shows and make them so good.

But it will stop. In ten years, reality shows will be 24 / 7 with only Lost - Special Plane Crash Unit to break the monotony, or a Buffy / X files esq spinoff with zilions of viewers. And Simpsons season 45, of course.

Something to look forward to! Time to start reading more, I think.
