I've never officially used him for my team, (even though I'm on my fifth play through of the game) but he's apparently the worst playable character in the game from what I hear all the time.

I've never been big on Beast, whether it be in the comic books, the 90s TV show or this game. He was surprisingly very good in X3, but that's the extent. For as radical his appearance is, he's really not that dynamic of a character. Brains and brawn are just kind of boring to me. His movements in XML are difficult to understand in my opinion too. He's brawny, but too flamboyant and not strong enough to justify the flair. On the other hand, Nightcrawler can be as fancy as he wants, because his movements are sweet AND effective.
