Tribeca Film Festival

So this movie is finally shown on Tribeca Film Festival:

"Pittsburgh," directed by Kyle LaBrache and Chris Bradley (U.S.A.) - World Premiere. Jeff Goldblum put his Hollywood actor life on hold to star alongside his new girlfriend in a Pittsburgh regional theater production of The Music Man. Co-directors Bradley and LaBrache tread a surprisingly elegant line between genuine documentary and outright self-parody in this deliciously deadpan comedy.

The festival is set to run from April 25 - May 7, 2006 throughout Manhattan.

I think I might be in this production - in the background ice skating circles around Jeff. I spoke to him after a performance of Pillowman last Fall and he told me the show was going to be called "Pickets to Tittsburgh" . . of course I knew he was being silly, but this must be it!

Yeah, that must be it. I read an interview with Jeff where he said that the working-title was "Pickets to Tittsburgh". So "Pittsburgh" is the final title.

Oh really? I thought he was making a reference to my upper body LOL! I'm excited to go see this at the Tribeca Film Festival. I'll have to search for that interview . . mine was just from the horse's mouth. He was really nice . . I have a funny picture of us together where he's looking at the wrong camera :).

Hey, I found the article online that you mentioned: here's the quote that you must've read,

JG: Yeah I did direct a short film called Little Surprises in 1995 which got an Oscar nomination. I’ve always wanted to be an actor so I don’t have a burning desire to direct. I produced an idea for a couple of directors named Chris Bradley and Kyle LaBrache who did a documentary called Jon E. Edwards Is in Love. I think the current title is called Two Pickets To Tittsburgh.

Yup.
Why did you have to skate around him, by the way?
:)

reply

Because he was going too slow . . . he was with his fiance Catherine at the time and he looked as if he'd never ice skated before. It was cute. It wasn't very crowded which was nice, but the rink is pretty small, so when someone is going slow, you just skate around them :).

Hey I'm working the Festival this year, so I'm going to try and see this on Saturday night! I think that's going to be the premiere as well!
