I Saw the Music Man Production

I actually saw Jeff Goldblum in the Music Man when I lived in Pittsburgh and he was an AWFUL Harold Hill! I'm anxious to see him poke fun at himself in the DVD. The rest of the cast in the show were great, including Ed Begley, Jr. He was a fantastic Mayor Shin. It will also be nice to see Pittsburgh on film, I lived there for three years and miss it! Has anyone seen it? Has it gotten good reviews?

I live in Cranberry, and believe it or not, I had a shot of being in that production of "The Music Man." A friend of mine was putting together a barbershop quartet for the show and asked if I wanted to sing with him. My schedule wasn't flexible enough for all of the rehearsals, so I had to decline.

I'll have to buy this movie to see if my friends in the quartet ever get any screen time!

Those are my two cents. Spend 'em however you like.

You live in Cranberry? You wouldn't happen to know Jay Handyside or his friend Luke would you? He graduated from high school in 1998, and college in 2002.

He was a friend of mine in college, I went to Washington and jefferson College between 1998 and 2002. It was a blast.

PA rocks, and has some of the most down-to-earth people I've known in my life. I'm back in Massachusetts now, but I miss the area and the people who live there so much. I have a feeling I may return someday.

Take care, and Kennywood rocks!

I also saw Jeff in "the Music Man" in Pittsburgh and really enjoyed the show. Having never seen the show before (I know--pathetic), I can't judge him against other Henry Hills. He isn't your typical musical theater performer but he brought his quirkiness and charisma to the role and I thought it was fun to see him in such an intimate setting.

How did you like Ethal Toffelmire?
