The Diversion

In a brief moment of profound bravery, you jump out from behind the mirror you were hiding, and begin to run down the gauntlet of mirrors, screaming and shoving down mirrors as you pass them in order to draw the attention of the twisted clown. “Not the smartest move on my part,” you thought, but you pulled the trigger and will follow through with it, hoping it gives your date a chance to escape. You run through one corridor to the end, turn the corner and run through another one, the whole time thinking, “what the hell am I doing? What am I going to do next?” Not much of a plan you began to realize. As you run up one hall, you see the twisted clown appear at the other end. He slowly walks into view and then turned to face you. You halt, immediately, turn and run back the other way. You run down the hallway and you end up reaching a dead end. The only way out is going to where you came from. You turn again, but in front of you is the deranged clown smiling with his twisted teeth. “Oh crap,” rang through your head. You look around, you see bare wall, bare wall, A LADDER! You look up and see that it leads to another room up top, through a trap door.
