Seem to be in a rut

I've had this game for awhile, but I'm not very good. I can't seem to earn any money at all! I ALWAYS have between $10, 000 - 11, 000 (my park value is about $41, 000). The only time my money changes is when I build something (which I hardly ever do with so little money), and it usually slowly rises at a constant speed back up to 10, 000, and then nothing! No matter what rides I put in, how trained my employees are, how much rides and stalls cost, or what scenery I can put in that I can afford, it changes nothing! Also, most of my rides have fairly long lines, and hardly EVER break down. Can someone please help? Thanks!
