The Ending *SPOILER*

" The final shot in Princess was not a pleaser or a sales booster it´s was importent for me that life is not crap! Even if people *beep* it up there should be hope for them ... the thougth was that now August and Mia can do anymore bad to them selfs "

The grammar is useless but I think he ment " now August and Mia CAN'T do anymore bad for themselves " .. Whatever that means.

I did NOT like the ending, it should have ended at the house but I have an alternative ending if it needs to be a happy one..

They survived the explosion and because August was a priest he fixed their tombstones and people thought they where dead but for them things got finally normal.

I assume it was Charlie and the end at the cemetary ? oh and did they go to heaven ? Actually I am confused right now. HELP..

besides Thomas' bad gramma, he did have a point to show, both that august dit in fact die, witch i was not sure of, and that all three characthers did find peace at last, even though charlie survived, augugst did distroy all the footage of "the princess" and give charlie something to thinl about. (sins he is there at their tombstones and pay his respect).

I am surden that it was an afterlife, and a happy afterlife that the 3 main chacthers where in at the end, you can call it heaven or hirvana or whatever. but i guess it wraps up the story and gives it a good endning, not only because that august "completed his mission", but also becuase he found peace with the ones he love.

I was also in the middel of the movie hopeing for a twist at the end, like you say that he fixed the tombstones and fakes his, and perhaps even Mia's death. but it would be refering to some only minutes later to the wiever so the twist effect woundt have been that good.

i was more counting on an effect, like that the princess dint die at all, and charlie died instead and the princess took his place or something.

but all in all i found it a good an very artistic movie, and reminded me a lot of one of linken parks musicvideos, where some manga cartton is mixed with footage of the band playing on a roof, and the footage where drawen by a pencil to give it a raw, and very special cartoon/real view.

everything can be defined by good or bad. Balance if you will.

Thanks for replying -BenjaMin

I agree with everything you said. But I still think the last minutes shouldnt have been there. Still great movie.

Thanks

Princess is based on Morgenthaler's short film "Araki", and if memory serves me correctly, August killed Mia on purpose in the end of that movie - by putting a bomb in Multe and placing them both, at a Porn-releaseparty. Augst himself does not die, as he watches the explosion from the other end of the city.

In my opinion, that was a much stronger and far better ending, than what Princess whipped up.

I agree that the ending was a bit.... Well, different from what I had actually expected. Still you have to admit that it's an artistic masterpiece by Morgenthaler

Artistic masterpiece, sure. Interesting story, no? I found it to be boring and too long. And why does Thure Lindhardt have to whisper all the time. He doesn't sound intense, you can hardly hear him

I wonder what kind of world you live in if you consider the film boring. You say it's an artistic masterpiece but boring and too long. How does that work? You mean you didn't understand it, so you thought you should compliment the director?

As for the voiceover, have you never heard of a remote control? It has a button on it so you can adjust the sound level. Amazing what they can do these days, huh?
