Unbelievable...

Wow, just wow.

I don't think Americans or Brits would touch the subject matter of this kind of movie with a 20 foot pole. Child rape, molestation, physical abuse, porn executives with a conscience...just wow.

By the three quarter mark I was nearly cheering, "Go, August! Go!!!" I think this is one of the rare films that gives us an anti-hero who is far from unblemished but certainly has no inhibitions about what must be done.

The sad reality is that much of what was depicted in the film happens all the time, especially with single-mothers who invite "men" into their lives for the sake of comfort.

This entire movie was dark, unrelenting and was harder than any movie I have ever seen and I don't regret having seen one minute of it. I wish more directors/writers were as brave to their approach of making films as the ones behind Princess were.

And since August never said it in the movie, I'll say it for him...

"...this isn't justice. This isn't retribution. This isn't vengenace...this is punishment."
