Disappointed : A shoddy copy!

Lets make this thing clear. Im a big fan of Hindi movies. Especially comidies. And what comedy better than Hera Pheri has been made? It was due to fantastic direction and acting. But the most important was the originality of the story (which are rare in bollywood movies!). It was a treat to watch.
But seeing the sequel I was thoroughly disappointed. It was such a stupid copy from the Guy Ritchi film "Lock Stock and two smoking barrels". If u havent seen the movie PLEASE watch it. Im sure then the talking about "Phir Hera Pheri" as one of the greatest comic indian movie will have a halt!

Phir hera pheri was crap, a bad rip off , of a brilliant movie. Just like chocolate (Usual Suspects) , and Kaante (Reservoir Dogs), zinda (Oldboy), and many many many many many more.
It's getting pretty embarassing now Bollywood.

it's actually good that they copy some of the films, that way we are able to see how the film would have come out if different actors were playing the character roles. It's not like every single movie is copied and they aren't that bad. chill out!!

Some of the films :P mate I think you haven't seen most of the films from bollywood.
my friend as one of the mate mention couple of movies with hindi movie reference and I completely agree with others that they copy more and more films now a days..and the amazing thing that they even try to shoot the posters in the same way like hollywood movies by one that being copied and characters, their hairstyles lol @ other things..

simply pathetic, now the latest COPY Releases are :

The Dream Team = U, Me aur Hum
Goodbye Lover = Race

and as mention earlier;

Reservoir Dogs = Kaantay
Old Boy (one the best korean film) = Zinda
Phir Hera Pheri = lock, Stock and two smoking barrels

and the list go on and on and on and on............

Ugh....disgusting copy of one of my all time favorites.
The director should've at least watched the first Hera Pheri and picked up some pointers on how to direct a good movie...
I don't watch too many hindi movies, but it seems like the ones that are copied are made more to appeal to the indian audiences...obviously.
I doubt this movie would be a "hit" if it was made similar to Lock Stock....the smart kinda comedy.
Instead, they had to dumb it down and make it more of a slapstick, over-the-top, unfunny comedy...It's a sad situation that many hindi movies are of this "dumb" kind

I agree.
Very dissapointing and not a patch on Lock Stock and Smoking... The dumbing down of the movie to make it palatable to the average janta did the movie in. Also, there are scenes of "Snatch" copied in one hindi movie as well as an entire movie copied on "Leon" starring Bobby Deol and Rani Mukherjee... except that its a shoddy movie and not a patch on the original.

Calling "Phir Hera Pheri" a copy or ripoff of "Lock, Stock..." is a completely immature comment by any Cinema lover, Phir Hera Phera is not a copy nor it is a ripoff of Lock Stock... the hindi movie is based on the script by Guy Ritchie...so it shoul better be called a movie with an adapted Screenplay...that is what Phir Hera Pheri is.. I don't knw hw many of u have actually watched both the movie!! if u have then u must have felt that though the story of both the movies was simillar but movies on the whole were different. .. Phir Hera Pheri was a very good version of Lock, Stock... if it would've been that BAD then is The Academy of Motions Pictures crazy that it invited the script of the movie into its Oscar Library!!!

Think about it.

"a movie with an adapted Screenplay"... LOL!!! I liked the way u r trying to defend this movie... Whats the point ?? How can anyone njoy a movie based on same story told earlier and shown in a pathetic n loud presentation ???
