my two cents....

OK. At the risk of putting myself in the crosshairs of many of the posters on this board who like to talk about others, as opposed to the movie, here is my impression:

I was called by Cynthia Neely to be an extra in the movie. My wife was a member of WIFT and I had met Cynthia many times. I was on the set for about 2 days. Over those two days, I had ample time to meet with most of the actors and crew. The producer was very full of homself and has big asperations for Mr. Hell. He even had a video game in his head that he wanted to create and produce based on the script.

Tracey Scoggins was very unapproachable by anyone other than the director or other"stars" in this movie. I did find it interesting that she had herself removed from the credits.

Many of the below line crew on this movie were not worried about the final product of the movie. Many of them were unpaid (common for a production of this size). They busted their butts because they were in it for the experience. Many of them learned what was expected on future sets. Many of the crew were Houston natives who did the job as a hobby or side job. While Houston continues to make attempts to get on the board as a movie hotspot, there isnt enough paid work to sustain someone who only works on production crews.

As for the movie. The concept in my opinion had potential. I really felt the mercinaries costumes were a little goofy. That is of course because of my military background. Considering the budget, I thought most the sets were decent for what they were. Yes, some of the dialogue was trite and expected.
Overall, as many of you have said, this is a B Movie that rates towards the bottom half of all B movies that I have seen. Could it have been better? Sure, but for what it was, it was about what I expected.
