That's how they let a father know his child is alive??

While her father his hugging her in tears, the camera circles them. No one else is there. What the the cops do, make her walk home? I bet if they'd called, he would have come and picked her up.

I'm aware that it's just a movie. There's no need to remind me.

I just finished watching it. Remember when Taylor rescued her and they all got in the car as the building started burning? I think they dropped her close to home, then went back and called 911 to report the fire. (If they'd taken her to the police, they'd have called her dad and she'd be spending some time in hospital being examined and questioned.)
