can some one explain the ending? who is stephanie supposed to be?

Yes...she used the heart bracelet to cut the kidnapper. I thought that was a great twist to the story and that the two of them were brought together.

Thank you. I wondered too. That was the one part of the story I couldn't appreciate. Despite someone saying the ending was transparent, it was confusing for me. LOL!

Stephanie is Allison Frost:

Stephanie says almost drowned
-Allison Frost fell from a cliff to escape her kidnapper

Stephanie draws a random person with a cloak but doesn't know why
-Allison's Kidnapper

Stephanie has a bracelet with a red heart but doesn't recall where she got it from
-Allison had the same bracelet

Just as it happened with Taylor, Allison's name was changed after she was adopted.

For a minute it annoyed me that of course shed be one of the girls abdiucted, how convenient, then I remembered that he sought her out specifically bc she painted that mountain and cloaked person, and he tracked her down wondering why she painted it bc he saw it in the kidnapping a. So it actually made sense and had a good reason so is pretty cool and not aggravated and the idea of it now. I liked the movie it was different and pretty interesting. Much better than the reviews!
