You think this is porn...

I've watched 9 Songs, it's nothing else than a boring porn movie. I've not seen Shortbus (yet).
My opinion: If you really need actual penetration that lasts for that long in a movie you kind of admit that you suck at making movies with an actual storyline.
It's just awkward to look at when you're sitting in the cinema with other people and I don't see the purpose, other than shocking the audiences, that is.
Also I like to my way of thinking that not every woman is a slut - yes, I call women who have sex with guys they're not in a relationship with sluts, and same goes for guys who do just that - and don't want to see my favorite actresses having sex with some random guys. I seriously don't and I would certainly lose every last bit of respect I have for them.
Nude scenes are okay if they actually serve a purpose (don't know if you could call that "nude scene" but the scene in Black Swan where Natalie Portman receives oral stimulation from the other woman was brilliant) but as soon as you can actually see that the whole point of a nude scene is showing that person nude it gets kind of ridiculous.

Oh, and "Films are changing" is a very imprudent statement. Real sex in movies has been around for a long time - just search for lists of unsimulated sex via Google. And just because some movies feature real sex (and besides - looking at the votes here on imdb they mostly suck) it doesn't mean this is the future of cinema.
If you need genitalia to make your film worth watching... well, I really wonder how you got sponsors for the film. But then again just look at Uwe Boll. I don't think he made a single good movie but people still kept sponsoring him. I'm glad they stopped doing that.

i have to agree with loppi on this one if you need to actually see penetration in films .Then why not just watch and actual porn flick .films that show penetration have been around since the 70's probably a branch of the sub culture we now call the porn industry ..if i had to guess movies like this were being made.to try and get the main stream more excepting of pornography which was a taboo .
It seems the porn industry fared pretty well without this branch of films being made.

that's the key point that always seems to be forgotten when a movie like this is made .What are you doing that hasn't already been done already .It seems people who make films like this are off in LA LA land they for sure don't know how to keep up with the times ..or understand the reality of the world around them.

i remember the first time i saw 9 songs .The whole time im thinking porn.On top of that the movie sucked and its plot was very weak .Just like most porn's plots .
Europe is not america the square peg does not fit into the round hole..what may work one place may fail some place else .In the u.s there is no need to make films like these because we have a film industry whos main purpose is to make movies like these . when you cross the line .it isn't legit anymore its something entirely different

this movie is porn the director and producer admitted that they didnt deny that the sex scenes are unsimulated they did it just for attention .Which just goes to show that they sunk to the ultra lowest just to get attention because they have no talent no legit talent anyways to garner attention for their work as artists because they arent artists .they represent the scum and the bottom feeders that exist in hollywood
