Gimme a break. See what? It's not like you saw actual penetration like in a porn flick. They are professional actors. They make it *look* real. Even when you watch the oral sex scene, his hands are placed and the camera is set to where she could actually be wearing a G-string.

justagirl is right. If you're really paying attention and put aside your shock and horror (or adolescent fascination), you will see that absolutely NO penetration is shown. Even the oral sex scene does not show oral penetration. Yes, an erect penis is handled. At no point is genital penetration ever shown. It is only suggested. While this film is graphic and extremely sexual, it's not porn. Even soft core shows more. The camera work is manipulated to full effect and is very clever.
Wikipedia is not a real encyclopedia. Any know-it-all can submit an article - EVEN ME! and no credentials are ever required. There is so much misinormation on it, it's laughable. Be careful where you are getting your facts from!

While an erect penis was handled, we never saw it go into her mouth nor come out of her mouth. The filmmaker could have actually gone ahead and made it real since he decided to forego getting it rated. It puts a film into limbo if it's not rated, and the filmmaker had to decide how hard he wants to push it. But you're right, it's simulated anyway. It's too hard for an R rating so he opted for NR. It's the mood and emotional tension that creates a sexual mystique here, I think.
I think Mr. Balfour reached his condition more by simply having it handled, however more than that may indeed have taken place. Maybe they had a fluffer on the set.
i know this is getting off topic but just fyi wikipedia has the same percent error as all the leading encyclopedias so dont make up that bs about so much misinformation because you are just asuming. I have done video editing, and there are MANY movies who have actual penetration.
I did a part time with the task of find those scenes and I found many movies in the R rating who had a penetration, yeah I found many frames where is enough proof for anyone.
A good example was monster ball, Boogie Nights, and others.

the technique they used to show sex in this movie was clearly done for Shock value .its not so much the camera manipulation as it is the editing .two good looking people+bad acting+sexual chemistry and a willingness to come close to penetration on camera..You've got yourself a pretty solid softcore flick with a passable plot .
