Plot?
Could someone tell me what this movie is about? I watched the trailer, and though it looks interesting, I don't know French so still don't understand the plot. Thanks =).
shareJacquou le Croquant tells the story of a young farmboy called Jacquou (Léo Legrand as a child, Ulliel as an adolescent) whose simple but satisfying life with his parents (Marie-Josée Croze, Albert Dupontel) in the 1815 Périgord region is disrupted by the evil Count de Nansac (Jocelyn Quivrin), whose actions leave him an orphan. Vowing to take revenge, and taken under his wing by the local parish priest Bonal (Olivier Gourmet), he will finally channel his feelings of vengeance towards de Nansac into an uprising against the pitiful treatment of the local peasantry (the "croquants") by the Count.
