why is a bj nc-17?

shouldnt it be x? i dont get it, if they are gonna show a bj in a nc-17 then what else is there to show? they show sex scenes in rated r movies whats left for a rated x?

"X" no longer exists. It was taken by the porn industry, because the MPAA didn't copyright it. NC-17 replaced it. It is an extremely broad rating. A movie can be NC-17 and just have some nudity or a bit of violence that the MPAA deems too strong for an R, or it can be hardcore sex and violence. "American Psycho" was slapped with an NC-17 for about 20 seconds of sex (despite the book being very violent and sexual, the film was highly restrained). A hardcore porn can get the same rating.
