How My Dad Saw Deep Throat

My dad just told me the story of how he saw Deep Throat. He was in his mid-20s and living in Washington D.C. He went to this bar that he usally went to after work and met this lady there and asked her on a date and she said sure. He asked where she wanted to go and she said, to the movies. My dad asked what movie did she want to see and said that she was just dying to see Deep Throat. My dad asked "Why Deep Throat?" and she said that she asked other people to go with her to see it and nobody wanted to. So my dad agreed and they went to this really shady part of D.C. and into one of those dirty movie theaters. My dad was nervas, he wasn't sure if the girl was going to like it and he was afread that she would walk out. But, she didn't and they saw the movie all the way through. My dad said that as expected the movie was of course a dirty picture but this was one of the first porno flicks that actually made an attempted to have a storyline. After the movie my dad took her to the Colvart Grill back when it was in its old location. My dad ordered a hamberger and she, of all things, ordered a hot dog. A HOT DOG! Was this woman trying to be purverted or what? My dad just laughted said thought to himself oh my god.

HAHAHA!

Of all the stories in world, this is definitely one. My favorite parts were "nervas" and "afread." Extremely worthy of discussion. Kudos.

So how does the story end? Did he shaft her or what? And is that your mum? I need closure, I need it. Learn to tell a story, no punchline, incorrect speeeling.

I saw Depp Anus: The Sam41 Story. Starring Chevy Chase as Goliath and Tony Hawk as the creature from Anus.

Hey Rodman, hasn't anyone ever told you the dangers of posting on public websites with a name like "Rod"? I hate you. I've got a goliath right here for you.

Great story I worked in A porn theater for a good five years. Wild sex always happens in those places.

More so back in the 70's.

I'm surprised she didn't try to attack your dad in the theater.

get friendly with him.

I know a famly that owned several adult hteaters when Deep Throat premiered. They becaem extreemly wealthy off of that movie. They ran the film for a good fiveteen years.

reply

Tell us some stories, steveicm! What are some crazy things you saw working there for years? I never had the chance to go to many adult theaters, but it was funny, one time I went and the theater was fairly busy. It was dark and I left before the movie was over and had one of those moments similar to Ben Stiller's character in Something About Mary, tripping over somebody going down on a guy in the aisle, lol...

Oh god where to begin. Lots of Public sex. There are lots of Guys who bring there girlfreids or wives to have sex while people watch.

Then at some point there are some guys who start passing out condoms and asking guys if they would like a shot at there wife.

I have seen women walk in strip and start asking guys to line up. I have seen one women who used to ask guys to line up and show there stuff. She called it meat inspection (she had a flash light).

I have seen a lot of gross situations where countless women have asked large numbers of men to help them get as sticy as posiable.

I have seen a lot of men with wedding rings come into to spend time with the same sex. It's sad the wife doesn't know.

I saw one guy come in with hid girlfreind. He chose that time share with her he was a Bi-sexual. They celebrated by sharing a hot dog together. They literaly made out/ kissing with a hotdog between there lips (ID NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE). Total Harliquin Romance novel materia.

I have seen many guys come in dressed like women and make it with lots of men. Including one who used to be a world famous wrestler.

I have tons of guys stand around fully ericted watching couples have sex. I used to have to constantly ask them to return to there seats. I would often shine a flashlight down the aisle and watch them all skatter like roaches with erections.

It's a whole nother world of public sex almost entirely destroyed by VCR/ DVD.

I am very luck I live in Portland and there are a few of them left here, so I have had a chance to see what happend in theaters accross america before there were VCR's and DVD players.

Totally agree on this one. Closeted guys who get married, eeesh...

(WTF!) You gotta tell me who the wrestler was, I'm a longtime fan. Private message it to me if you prefer.

There were some wonderfully trashy ones in Detroit (all gone), so I'm glad I at least had the chance to go. They still have them in Portland? Eventually I could see the day in which sex stores disappear, leaving all products available only online. Hopefully that won't be the case.

He was big in the late 60's early 70's before it paid well. He was half of the world championship tag team.

A really nice old guy who is in a lot of pain today, and has very little money to show for it.

It's very sad.

Thanks for this response. I am glad that you got a kick out of my post and you responded.
It got me to look at this old post from almost two years ago and remember where I was working at the time.

I am so glad that I no longer work in Porn Theaters. Don't ge me wrong I got a lot of good stories from that adventure but It was time to move on.

You see something happens when you work in the adult industry. It doesn't matter if you are a stripper, hooker, pimp, Porn Actor, or simple Porn theater clerk. You slowly start to become jaded from the enviroment. At that point you have two choices either get out or become a freak !

Because of working in adult theaters and swingers clubs, I have had sex with more people then most people. I am very lucky and very good at sex because of it !

However once all your fantasies come true you have to find new ways to get off. This is where the freak factor comes in to play. Your sex life can become very biazzare and twisted. Pretty soon you can longer enjoy, plain old regular sex.

In the mean time what happens if you meet some one you really like as a person. A person you may want to have a realtionship with and they aren't into the things you are into. It can affect your abiltiy to have intimacy with that person.

This is why I think it is important to expirement and have fun. Especialy try things while you are young but don't go so far out there that never come back. You can stop yourself from going forward but you can't go backwards.

Most of the people in the world aren't like that. Have fun but stay in the real world.

I'd say this definately applies only to select individuals. I can't think of anything I still want to do that I haven't done and I have my share of fetishes but plain old vanilla is still great!

I think fetishes are born when we are very young, it just takes time to realize them. We all don't have fetishes of course, but those who do can usually point to things from their childhood that first planted the seeds, and no, I'm definately not referring to sexual abuse alone. And I think the realization of fetishes is a positive, not a negative. And if you can't have relationships with those who don't understand you, you are better off:)

Good Points. I think your thoughts are good. I think that it's good to debate these types of things. Society doesn't like to talk about sex and it's
a big part of all of us.

I also think that everyone is differn't. There is one mistake that I made in my last post. I left off two words at the end of my sentence "For me".

All my statments apply to me personaly. Everyone is differn't in there sexuality and person.

This is why I enjoy debating this stuff and hearing others expierences and view points.

Good Stuff. Isn't sex great, thank god it's free.

Can you imagine if it cost money like Gasoline or the Government could tax it.

reply

Well I think most people are alright with sex in pop culture and in general, it's just a very vocal minority that isn't. And that minority tries everything they can to get attention, so you will see a fair number of them here. I also chalk this up to nobody caring what they think offline:)

"Isn't sex great, thank god it's free."

Well it's free to those who have game. To those who don't, usually they either pay outright, or have to drop money on material things or experiences to build up to the sex first. I bet for most people it's not free:(

"Can you imagine if it cost money like Gasoline or the Government could tax it."

We would be better off following Nevada's brothel example with legalization of prostitution, no doubt about that one.

reply

I do agree that prostitution should be legal.

It would be safer for both parties involved.

This makes me think of Harry Reems, now in the "straight" life (and a still very handsome distinguished-looking older man with perhaps some of his former substance abuse addiction written on his face but not as much as you'd think). This man had sex with probably every one of the most "famous" and/or "notorius" porn starlets in how many different ways up until the mid '80s or so and the prurient side of me wonders about his and his wife's sex life now. I mean, does she get like, Hey, Pal, I know what you can do, you're holding out on me!!! LOL

And Roy Cohn, one of the freakiest freaks that ever freaked (behind closed doors) accosts Reems on air about how deviant Reems is. I hope it's not too hot in hell for ya, Roy.

That's funny, I thought the same thing because Harry is one of my favorites from the "Golden Age." He had the reputation for being on the rough side with girls. Who knows...?

LOL. I'd say "Amen," but who's to say how it works. Was he religious? Perhaps he "repented for his life of sin," and is therefore up there floating on a cloud, hahahahaha...yech!

It's nice to see that you undertand what I am saying about going so far out with sex that it chages you.
The big question that each individual must face is how much do you want it to change you.
Can you live with the person you become after acheiving all of your fantasies ?
When you get a point, where you need to find new ways to get yourself off (The next level).
If you like the next level and where it has take you, then great keep going.
But when you start to become involved in situtaion's (such as my old jobs) where you are exposed
to a lot of sex (Day in and day out). Much more then the average person.
You have to ponder, how will this affect me as a person (In the long run).
Could it change me in a way I don't like.
If it makes me into a person who is desensaitzed and jaded towards sex, how can this affect my future
relationships.
If I don't like who I am becoming can I change back to the person I used to be prior to all of this ?
Or is this who I am for the rest of my life ?
Can I live with who I am as a result.
It is an individual question each person in the sex industry must face with in themselves.

Thanks for letting me know about Harry Reems in the "Staight Life".
I will have to check this out, when is it on ? What network ?

Which Porn Starlet are you talking about Linda Lovelace ?

Wasn't Harry in " The Devil and Miss Jones" ?

I will have to study this Roy Cohn guy.
He sounds interesting. Was he from the 60's and 70's adult films ?

I stumbeld accross a guy named George Payne.
I guess Annie Sprinkles did something with this guy,

I saw this George Payne in one of the most disturbing adult films I ever saw.

I would suggest that there are other conflicts in people besides simply what they see and experience sexually. Much of this could be how one was raised, the importance one places on what society/family would think of them or religious b.s. Once you come to terms with these things, it becomes a lot easier to think for yourself and choose what is right for you. It's like "de-programming" from all the crap you had no control over being force fed to your mind. And then you can be comfortable with sex simply as another natural bodily function without stigma. "Desensitization" does not have to be a bad thing.

"Thanks for letting me know about Harry Reems in the "Staight Life".

Heh, no all these comments are about the movie Inside Deep Throat.

"Wasn't Harry in " The Devil and Miss Jones" ?"

Yes.

"I will have to study this Roy Cohn guy.

LOL. No. He was Sen. McCarthy's legal counsel who came up with much of the strategy for McCarthy's despicable witch hunts in the 50's, and was an anti-gay homosexual who died of AIDS.

"I stumbeld accross a guy named George Payne.

Yes, quite a bit. They were part of the New York scene.

"I saw this George Payne in one of the most disturbing adult films I ever saw."

The Taming of Rebecca? He was nutso great in that. There was a company called Avon from the early 80's that made a bunch of rough sex/BDSM movies and he was in some of them. Anti-porners loved using those as the example of "typical porn."

Wow thanks Boogie night you know your porn history.

I agree with what you are saying about childhood issues and deprograming B.S. that society has put on you.,

Nina Hartley has touched on some of these things (A little bit) in here Adam and Eve series for couples.

I very much agree with you on the childhood issues/ religion stuff. But I also believe that there is
something to a line that Marilyn Manson used

"When all of your wishes are granted many of your dreams will be destroyed"

I am not saying people should be prude. I think that people should expirement and enjoy there kinks.
I am all for everyone doing what ever they enjoy sexualy as long as everyone is willing adults and
no one gets hurt
(I'm against snuff films or child pornography).

The thing I am trying to say comes from a friend of mine who was a very beautiful woman and a stripper. Joey had lots of sex with many people over the years.
Joey pointed out that when all over fantasy's come true you have to find new ways to get off.
As it becomes more wilder and out there It can make it harder to find a satisfying sex life.

On the radio show Love Line, Dr Drew was talking to a guy who was starting to have violent fanasy's
about women. The guy said his toughts were starting to scar him. Stuff like getting off magazines where woman were getting cut with knifes, etc.
Adam Corolla pointed out to the guy that when it comes to things like this it's best to get some proffesional help and stop looking at those images. Adam said you cna stop yourself form going forward into dark places you dont want to be. But once your there it is imposiable to go backwards.

I have friends who were escourts for many years and they have had so much sex they are burned out.
Many older hookers (If they don't end up dead or crazy) become very sanctamonious. Often very religious and asexual.

I think the fomer WWF wrestler Jake the Snake Roberts said it best in a documentary.
Durring Jakes days with WWF Jake contstantly traveld all over the world.
There were woman all over him Plus Jake had acces to the finest escourt around the country.
So he had lots of sex every night.

Jake said that it started out like this
First he would have sex with a differn't hot women every night.
Pretty soon that getting him off anymore.

Then Jake would have sex every night with Two women at the same time.
Pretty soon that getting him off anymore.

So then Jake would have sex with Two women plus use toys on them.
Pretty soon that getting him off anymore.

Then Jake would say to the women
" You two girls have sex with the toys and I will just sit accross the room and watch"
Pretty soon that getting him off anymore.

Then Jake said "after a sex life like that try going home to your wife and having
regular conventional sex".

I personaly expierenced simular things. I worked in Porn theaters and a sex club, for many years.
I constantly saw people constantly having sex all around me.
Because of working in those palces I have had more sex then most guys I know.
I was becoming seriously burned out. Very decensatized.
I decided to step back.

I still like sex. I sometimes am in the mood for good kinky sex.
I just want to be able to get excited by the things I like.
Not burned out from seeing them all day long.

I just don't want to work around it all day.
I want it to be a certain part of my life but not all of my life.

Well, what you are also referring to is sexual addiction, and that is its own beast which can be separated entirely from porn. People can basically become addicted to anything if they have addictive personalities, from drugs/alcohol to excercise and food or sex. An addiction is defined as something that has negative side effects and is destructive to the addict. But many people can watch the hardest porn or have a lot of sex and not be addicts because they don't have the addictive personality. Those people have no problem going back to basic vanilla with sex. So what you describe with the Dr. Drew reference and especially Jake Roberts who is an addict of everything apparently are addictions. Now, my final comment on porn addiction (which is different and separate from sex addiction) is that as far as addictions go, that's got to be one of the mildest. Nobody ever died from a porn overdose.

reply

[deleted]

I know it's just your experience you are describing and I'm not knocking you in any way nor do I think you are anti-porn. I'm just adding a bit to the generalities.

"It would affect him in various ways and it would change him (Good, Bad or in differn't)."

Okay, but you could probably say that exact same thing about any job one has for a significant amount of time. Such is life.
