Jamal didn't die. He was working with Viktor Skobel, it showed you in the mission where Jackie Phillips is dangling from scaffolding.
but did he get shot when the police came?
You don't see anything happen to him so I think it's infered that he lived to fight another day.
for all you ppl, the jamal voice is one of the producers of sony, so i think jamal would pop out on the next one too
