did anyone cursed the game creators for making Inspector Munroe die in that explosion? (the mission with Mitch, going through the rooftops chasing the guy, and in the end he shots himself in the head in that hotel

I think that he didn't deserve to die but then you look at the different endings where both Mitch and Sam die. Now that is wrong.

It was necessary for the development of Mitch's character. Munroe's death coupled with his shooter's death drives him to the point where he almost kills another officer. Then it causes him to have 100% commitment to solving the case. He adopts Munroe status and goes to the length of chasing Eddie half way across London just so that he can bust Viktor.
In conclussion it was neccessary.
