i just don't get the ending of this movie...i mean the guy goes with her inside and then ? live happily ever after in a hunted place? i just don't get it ....can someone explain it

all I can explain about the ending is that they are the dumbest people to ever walk the Earth. "we'll find the cure together." then why are you walking back into the closed hospital??? they can fix you right up at the next fully-operational hospital you come to, which is probably not too far down the road. THERE ALREADY IS A CURE. geez.
