Loved the movie, hated the ending

So I finally watched "The Cake Eaters" last night, and it was fantastic. Georgia was the character that I was most interested in. Kristen gave an amazing performance, and she was very believable in the role. The movie was great, all the way up to the ending. The ending kind of pissed me off. It was so abrupt and sudden, and the storylines were all left unresolved. What happens with Georgia? What happens with Beagle? Do Easy and Georgia's grandmother get married? Does Georgia die? Seriously! A better ending and a little more resolution in the plotlines would have been a lot better.

agreed. the movie was decent. but the lack of an ending left me wanting more. but that's how life is. everything isn't always resolved or works out in the end.

Hmmmmmm. I never considered that. Maybe that was the reason why it ended without any resolution, then. Because if it had ended with cut-and-dried happy endings, it would have totally messed the movie up.

I thought for sure the movie would end with Georgia dying.
Yeah...so unanswered questions. Were Georgia and Beagle a couple now? I would assume he just helped her 'become a woman' but that whole 'what do you want for lunch?' 'you' thing implys more than that. Not so easy for them to be a couple cuz even though Grandma covered for Georgia that one time how long could Georgia go on behind her mothers back? Would the mother ever accept Beagle?
