Cat Lovers stay away from this film.

A cat gets gratuitously shot in this film, I don't see anything funny about that. I wish filmmakers would stop using animals for their stupid jokes.

I thought the film was pretty bad and uninteresting before hand, but that scene put it over the edge.

I wish these films came with a big warning sign. We hate cats!! So I could stay away from them.

I agree with you.
This movie is one of the best I've ever seen but I didn't like that scene.

reply

It was a shit cat anyway.

It was just a single scene and it had purpose, nut just for lolz: It shows how delusional Ivan is, that he is unable to realize when something bad happens. This has nothing to do with hating cats whatsoever. Gunnar loved his cat. That's the point. The cat got killed accidentally and it was supposed to be shocking in order to show how dysfunctional Ivan is. Because people like you are not shocked enough if blackbirds are killed (why are you concerned about a single cat but not about all those birds getting killed?).

This film should have a different warning that you proposed: "Stay away if you don't understand how black humour works"

Your comment might have validity, "puschit-1," if you hadn't resorted to making it personal and attacking the original poster.

The only aspect of this scene that disappointed me was that they didn't feast on the cat and crows later.

Your post is garbage. I own and love cats, yet can understand the purpose of the scene where the cat is killed.

Hey, I love cats and I thought that scene was hilarious. Probably the best in the whole movie.

What a ridiculous protest. It is very clear that the cat's death is "gratuitous" and reflects the insanity of a supporting character. It's a wonderful movie in which occasional cruelty is used to advocate by contrast the most humane values. If you can't get that, you need to stick to Disney movies.

Seriously? I'm sorry man, but I think you need some help...
