I know! The one I just saw she pinched someones belly fat and called her a donut.
However, they all thank her in the end and are slim, happy and much healthier. Sometimes that's the only way. She really is saving lives.

I happened to watch five minutes of it because I was channel-hopping. One woman she was helping was saying, "It's OK for her to say that", meanwhile her voice-over was saying this woman didn't know what she was talking about.
I may not have a perfectly balanced diet but there's no way I'd go on this programme.

But IMO that's the whole point. It's an intervention. These people are being confronted (maybe for the first time) with their life-threatening eating habits. If she didn't come down so hard on them at the start they wouldn't take it so seriously.
Besides, if they agreed to be on the show, I think they agreed to those terms. Like the people on that house cleaning show, which I think is even more humiliating, but they're willing to have their dwellings shown at their worst in the hope of a good outcome.

I agree with you! She uses "tough love" shock value to get them thinking. Does anyone listen to "oh, honey, you shouldn't eat like that"! Sometimes a person has to come down hard on you. When it comes to the ones who have kids and feed them "take aways" all the time, well, they deserve to get yelled at. I agree, "How clean is your house" is so much worse. Did you see the one lady with the birds that flew all over the place? I liked her parting words after the 2 week check in. "Don't come back" Wonder what her place looks like now!
shareI haven't seen a bird episode, but I've seen several in which people were basically sleeping or sitting on top of their pets' doo-doo--which to me paints a far worse picture of someone than just eating badly.
That's another thing, they only have to keep clean for two weeks, whereas Gillian's people have to eat right for EIGHT.

She's an evil witch that likes to humiliate people with weight problems, you can tell right away she sees them with hate, or something very similar to it.I also noticed that all they ladies that have gone may be over weight but all of them seem to be better looking than that bully, maybe that's why she hates them.

i absolutely agree with everything you said. she enjoys being nasty to people because she hates them. she thinks she's superior because she knows more than they do.
she thinks all there is to life is that nasty food she orders them to eat. i doubt she has a life of her own or any friends because she's rude, ugly and a bully. who would want to be with her?
