Accents are so wrong (except Gabrielle Miller!).

People in BC don't sound like this. Especially in the metro vancouver area.

If anyone's been here to BC they'd know we don't sound like people from Ontario/Atlantic Canada, yet most of the Canadian actors come from Ontario/Quebec/Atlantic Canada. They have that 'Canadian' accent that Americans make fun of. Like Michael Hogan from Battlestar Galactica. THAT's the atlantic-canadian accent.

Vancouverites sound more like chinese people.. hahah kidding, the accent is more coastal, like California.

Its the 'o' v 'a' sound in words like process.
VYR prO'cesss, long O & drawn out s at end
LA pra'cess, short A

I noticed it during an acting workshop where the two giving the class were from both cities, interchanging the dialog.

Stanley's accent is way off. He should be lisping like that lawyer in Billable Hours.

???

Alisen Down is from Langley. Fred Ewanuick is from Port Moody. Kevin McNulty is from Penticton. Jane McGregor is from Vancouver. Et cetera.

Plus, I don't really think that there is an obvious difference between the accents of people from BC all the way to Ontario. The East Coast on the other hand, is a completely different story.

i live on the us/canadian border at ontario and i honestly don't notice a difference b/t any of the accents. well, i did notice that gabrielle miller's (on this show) is different. but she's the only one, and i honestly thought it was just her voice. hmm. now i'll be listening.

eta i will say, though, that dave foley's and that lady who plays his wife have the worst accents if they're supposed to play americans. iirc, they're from tx? either way, that accent is quite contrived.
