CG and perhaps RA

I am going to group both shows into one because of the overlap of talent.

As many know, WGN (in my neck of the woods) has brought Corner Gas into American television. Quite frankly, before they did, I'd never heard of the show. So naturally, I thought this was some kind of crappy show, that WGN filters from their vault. Little did I know Corner Gas has been on for what...5 yrs now? :0. From the first promo I saw of it, I thought it was going to be stupid, to my surprise the show was/is actually funny. I think of it as Seinfield type show, except CG is actually funny, has great character personality, and better storylines. I'm quite hook.

Which brings me to....if any Canadians and/or non-Americans can answer, please, if not it can be a rhetorical question but.....Why do American tv's wait before they can bring some Canadian Shows down to the US? I mean I absolutely love Forever Knight, Da Vinci's Inquest/City Hall, and Corner Gas. Does anybody know how long it be before RA is available for the American Market. Cause if RA is of the same quality as DVI, CG, and FK, I am one disappointing American missing out on another potential great show.

(BTB: I am so sick and tired of the American Reality TV Crap).

The problem with trying to watch it on CTV.ca, is that it's copywritten only for Canadian viewers, so even cheapskates are gonna have to buy/rent it, here in the US. It's available, season 1, as mentioned for a while, now, and season 2 can be pre-ordered from Amazon, and I'm sure other stores, to be delivered after 2/19.

It's not too expensive, and season 1 can be bought used.

The little bit I've found on Youtube is absolutely hysterical!

i hadn't heard of it until i looked up fred ewanuick's profile on this site. since i live close to canada, we have CTV here, so i looked for RA and was able to find it. whee! but it was toward the end of season 2, so i went to CTV.ca to try to watch it and couldn't. so i just netflixed the dvd's. i just finished season 1 and season 2 is forthcoming. can't wait!

(i'm surprised it's not more popular in canada, considering that 1/2 the actors from CG are on it.)

I live in the US and have just recently got on the Corner Gas, Robson Arms and Slings and Arrows bandwagon after coming across it(Corner Gas) on WGN. I have noticed that the subject matter in Canada is much less strict than in the US. I just watch them via Netfilx. So if Robson Arms was put on American TV it would have to be put on Showtime, HBO or Cinemax mainly b/c of the language, drug use, and of course nudity. I enjoy Canada's shows more than some of the US crap.
