Bobbi's support group.....

Season 3 has started. Bobbi joined a support group, named Single Women United Together, or S.W.U.T. for short.

I'm just glad they named it that, using "Women" instead of "Ladies".

Think about it.

I love "Corner Gas", but can't stand "Seinfeld". Is there something wrong with me?

Some episodes already aired with no announcement by CTV. In fact the first episode Gila Monster aired after the Bravo maratahon the day before. It's almost if CTV doesn't want to renew the series.

And it only run 23 minutes. There was no commercials and CTV cut out most of the ending credits. It's only being treated as time filler between Dancing with the Stars and CSI Whatever.

Wait! Yuri is GONE??? I'm in the US, and can't see any of the new season yet. WHAT? What happened to Yuri? (can't believe I really care about that sleaze, but I guess he's kinda grown on me).

I think SWUT in all connotations was very deliberate.

It looks and sounds almost like SWAT which evokes images of power - SWUT is supposed to be a group of empowerment. However it also sounds like the negative female slur. I think the writers were very deliberate when Bobbi utters the line "I'm the real SWUT, not her". It almost sounds like the negative slur but naive Bobbi does not recognize that.

Then again, more unintentional acronyms have occurred in real life. For you Canadians, how can one forget the fiasco called CRAP (Conservative Reform Alliance Party)? - I personally thought it an apropos name myself!

To say the least, I am delighted that this party is now in power, and with an increased share of the govt. Proof that my fellow Canadians are much smarter than I gave them credit for.

The Conservatives are here to stay, and the Liberals are gone forever.
