How do twins Alisa and Lysandra get leave from South Australian Police?

I'm no expert in public service leave (which is why I'm asking this question), but given that Alisa and Lysandra are police officers, how on earth do they get adequate leave to partake in two seasons of The Block?!!!

They actually left the police force and have launched an online business instead

I hope they weren't the complete and utter cows in the police force that they are now.
