Australian block - what I just saw

Here is what happened in the few minutes after I switched channels
Sister - do we need xxx for the stools?
Brother (on the phone) - the what?
Sister - the stools
Brother - the stores?
Sister - the stools
Brother - what?
Etc
Etc
For several minutes, with a bit of background music to make it sound 'funny'
Is that TV nowadays? No wonder no-one is waxing anymore
