Do you realize the book you mentioned is just a nationalist screed? That is one of a series where the mosque records were imported into the civil records but church records were not. If you extrapolate it would show about 10,000 Turkish population in the Tirebolu region, when the population was actually over 750,000!

Who do you think those people were? They were Greeks. We kicked them out and the entire history of the region is part of the record and listing some nationalist garbage here isn't going to change that!

Yes Pontos was Greek, and the majority of the people there are probably descendants of Greeks although most were massacred. Have you very been there? Or just quoting some garbage that isn't peer reviewed and not worth one lira?? :)
