Why are there two movies with the same story about the women being killed in Juarez comimg out at the same time?! Bordertown being the other!
When does this movie start filming and why is there no description of what the movie is about?!

I don't know about the other film, but VOJ has already completed filming and is awaiting release. If you want to know about the plot, go to Movietome.com, there is a synopsis of the film written by yours truly.

what i dont get is.....where is this movie? it says 2005, yet i have heard nothing about it. imdb doesnt even have a poster! i cant find out any info about this! HELPPPPPPPPP
shareThe reason you have not seen a lot of promotion behind “The Virgin of Juarez (La virgen de Juárez)” is because it’s an independent film, at least it was when they started shooting. It was originally supposed to have been completed & released … Summer 2005 (June-ish). I’ve heard delays have pushed back the scheduled release, but it might still be in calendar year 2005.
I don’t know if the film is going to be an English release or an “edición en Español”. That may be the 2nd reason you don’t see too much promotion. Foreign language films don’t sell very well in Hollywood.
Bordertown is the other film. I don’t know much about this one, except that Jennifer Lopez may be in this one, … if this is true, you should see ALOT of promotion behind this one. I don't think they started shooting yet.
BTW, I got this info from listening to spanish-radio talk show “scuttle-butt”.
