2D VS CGI Loch Ness Monster

I remember this movie from when I was a kid, but I also remember something else from it: How creepy the CGI Loch Ness Monster looked!

Even to this day, I can't look at a still image of that thing without jerking my head away in fear. Which is strange, since the 2D Monster doesn't creep me out in the slightest. I guess it's a bit like King Ramses from an episode of that show, Courage the Cowardly Dog. The way they look and move in CGI is extremely horrifying. While King Ramses got a lot less scary as I grew up (mostly from watching in HD and realizing how funny he became after he uttered the saying "Aw. Come on."), but Monster in this movie? STILL SCARY!

I just want to know: Am I alone or do others find that thing scary beyond all reason?
