You play ball like a girl!?!?!?

I'm only 14 and i totally agree with you. I mean, the whole point of Sandlot was baseball and boys enjoying it. My dad and I hated Sandlot 2. It dulled in comparison to the first. I hated it with a passion. In Sandlot, there was so much more life and laughs and throughout Sandlot 2, my thoughts were mainly "What the hell, girls?"

I mean, I play softball. Girls can play, but it just ruined the point of Sandlot. And I didn't like the ending. Sandlot was 100 folds better than this. Not an opinion, a statement.

I think they decided to put girls on, because the first was so good, they idiotically thought adding another gender to the mix would be good. Probably make it even better than the first. Obviously, they were mistaken. And, they didn't even feature a great baseball legend in this one. It was more about the boy than the game.

Sandlot is about playing ball. Not hormonal pre-teens and a stupid story about a boy and a "bear". They completely ruined the idea of Sandlot.

Them including several girls in the mix wasnt what bothered me... what bothered me is that this group of kids really didnt seem all that interested in baseball at all.

The group in the first, Benny especially, loved the game a lot. They practiced practiced practiced. This group wasnt even close in comparison.

I played Little League baseball back in the 70s and nearly every team I was on or played against had at least one girl on the team. This was unheard of in the 60s but actually common in the 70s and at that age girls generally played baseball before going into softball.
