Better or worse than 'Consequences of Love'

Just wondered since I saw CofL last year at the local arthouse theatre and was very impressed with it.

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room. (Dr Strangelove)

Saw it tonight, and thought it had its plus points. But probably not quite as good.

First time I have ever answered my own question.

Le conseguenze dell' amore is probably one of the best films I've seen in a long time. First saw it last year in a sneak preview, long ago. Absolutely loved it. Then when it was out on dvd here in europe I got around to buying it.

I also saw Romanzo Criminale in sneak preview in an arthouse, and I remember when lol. Was during the Italy-germany match I think last world cup...I'm sure Italy played and I was kind of bummed out I couldn't see the match then.(soccer/football)
However, I really enjoyed the film. Not as much as Conseguenze, but it made a large impact on me. It was very stylish, but I got the feeling the director couldn't quite handle everything he wanted. He wanted a little too much at once, and this resulted in a relatively convoluted mess...an enjoyable mess.

I heard it's coming out on dvd soon, maybe I should give it another try. But as of now Conseguenze dell' amore wins. Such a splendid film. Not a film for everyone, but definately one for me...and it had some amazing camera shots ;-)

I saw the DVD of "CofL" in one of the local video stores in the UK. However shortly afterwards they closed that store down, and to this date I've never seen it again.

Cofl is easy to find here in holland. Atleast in specialised dvd stores. ;-)I know, because I own it.

Interesting, I am in Amsterdam next month. So assuming your dvd's are compatible with ours I will look for it there.

Cool. Interesting indeed. I'm not sure if they'll be compatible with your system. Depends on what kind of dvd player you have, and where you live. I presume you're in the us, no? Well, then you'll need a all-region dvd player, one which will give you no hassle playing any kind of region dvd whatsoever. Around here you can pick up these all region dvd systems for a very cheap bargain, though the quality won't be super praisable, it's certainly good enough if you're not technological freak.

Either way, if you buy the Col dvd here it's region 2. Standard european affair. And if you'd like I could pm you an adress of a store where you can certainly find the dvd. ;-)

Actually I am in the UK.

Please do PM me that video store.

Incidentally, just out of curiosity how many people saw this with you? I was the only person in the theatre since it was playing at a local multiplex.

Conseguences of love is better. His director is also quiet young, instead of Placido that is a veteran.

You can buy it any regular shop in the UK.
