Tv serie of Romanzo Criminale

Do you know that a Tv fiction in 12 episode is now in production? It is produced by the Italian Sat Tv "SKY". The storyline is more similar to the book (that was similar to the facts that happened in the real life) but the actors are non the same.

if the actors aren't the same it won't be romanzo criminale, i mean i admit i know only few italian actors but... come on these guys were perfect especially "il nero"... i'm pretty sure it's not even gonna be a good director... well i'm still gonna give it a chance, i'm pretty curious anyway. :P

The TV series actually is closer to the original Book by Giancarlo De Cataldo, it expands the storyline of the movie and some facts are easier to understand.
The actors are good, they're mainly TV actors, though Favino, Rossi Stuart and Santamaria rule.
The top cop (Scialoja) is played by a young actor who acts waaay better than Accorsi (ok, even I probably act better than Accorsi in Romanzo Criminale)

The series is one of the best TV shows on atm. I bought the film after seeing the series and found it didnt click with me as much as the series, events happen within 5 mins that take a whole episode of the series to deal with, which is obviously going to happen as the film has shorter time. But you get to know the characters more too.

I've been watching it, four episodes so far, and it's one of the best TV shows I've seen in a long, long time. Very well written, acted and directed, with an excellent use of period music to boot, plus played against Italy's political turmoils during the 1970s. It's a fascinating panoramic view of Italy of the time. Watch it, it's excellent!

This world is a comedy to those that think, a tragedy to those that feel.

Great thread guys - my journey to a "T".

"Can't possibly be as good as the movie, how the hell do yo spin it out 22 episodes" followed by "Best TV ever, cast outperform original cast even" followed by "How about Serie 3, Libano, Dandi, Freddo , Butch, Sundance & Bufalo - The Early Years"

100% better then the movie, the 2 series were simply stunning.
And I have been trying to get hold of DVDs but they don't seem to make them?
Thanks to Sky for showing this brilliant TV show.
The actors all of them were way better then the film stars, maybe because they had a lot longer to blend the characters in, and you got to know them and even sort of like some of them.
And they never had that crazy brainless storyline with the bad blood "HIV" ?
So then he kisses his gf and makes love to her, I would guess without protection as they were in love and were long time lovers.
So then after maybe giving her HIV he leaves her, and that's love?
The most stupid brainless dangerous storyline I have ever seem
And then she gets blown up??
WHY
Was she a gangster?
Plain stupid, seems to me they saw how the long the film was so had to end it quick.
The TV show made much more sense, and was a much better show, with in my opinion much better actors
The one who played Libense was truly evil and has to be one of the most nasty characters I have ever seem on TV, Dandy and Freddo were also much better and even Patizen the hooker was much more beautiful in the TV show
