There Making A Movie

Go to comingsoon.net and there you will see under news spy hunter now psi ops could be good or bad.

Bad oh so bad. Great game though. But in any event, I think James Cann would make a good General. And Ving Rhames should be Barret. Vin Diesel would make an okay Scryer.

reply

it' would be a great movie if the filmakers just follow the storyline of the game.

reply

"it' would be a great movie if the filmakers just follow the storyline of the game"

Usually that would work, but the storyline flat out sucked.

Nope. Ving Rhames wouldn't be a good Berret, he's not big enough. Think bigger, listen to Barret's voice aswell.

That pratically screams Michael Clarke Duncan.

As for Scryer, I say either Elias Koteas or Bruce Willis.

reply

Elias Koteas would work great, but both of them are a wee bit too old.

May your swords stay sharp, and the Valar protect you!

When you do the training missons in the past, Nick looks like Edward Norton in The 25th Hour and could easily play Nick and being a great actor helps too but its really unlikely

reply

I think Bruce Willis would be awesome as Nick. And I also agree on Michael Clarke Duncan. I was thinking how much they resembled as I played the game. Sara should be played by Scarlett Johansen or however you spell her name.

reply

they need NEW talent for Nick Scryer. Someone who resembles him. I think Scarlett would be an awful Sara, they look nothing alike! She's got fat lips and an upward nose, Sara does not.

reply

I can't wait for the film, as i absolutly love the game. I personally think that Brian Van Holt would make a good Nick Scryer, after seeing him in `Threshold`.

reply

Why not have the guy who he was basically modeled after; Scooter Ward?

"It's only after you've lost everything that you're free to do anything."

reply

James Avery, who played Uncle Phil on The Fres Prince of Bell-Air should play Barret, but Michael Clarke Duncan would also be a very good choice.

Scarlett Johanssen would be the perfect Sara.

reply

Those are really good choices, how about Lucy Liu or Michelle Yeoh for Wei Lu?

reply

Has anybody heard any updated information on the movie? I haven't seen anything since the first few articles in 2004.

reply

I am glad to hear about the movie idea. Nic Scryer isn't the most winning character, but a good actor could change that. I could think of several actors to play Scryer, but this character reminds me of Cole Hauser's character in Pitch Black. Kind of dark, brooding, dark past, dark thoughts. I would give the role to Cole Hauser. And Michael Clarke Duncan would be perfect as Barrett. It's almost a mirror image of Duncan as Kingpin in Daredevil, but it's a role Duncan was made for. A game this fun deserves a good movie.

reply

have you ever seen that new stacker two commercial
troy ulshoeffer
he would be perfect for the role,

look under stacker 2 success stories he looks perfect as nick

if you try and match them they resemble each other quite closely

the barrett i would say james avery
they look somewhat similar

the oriental guy, i forgot his name should be played by Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa

reply

Holy damn, I came here to post that Uncle Phil should be Barret and look at what we got here, someone beat me to it. I am glad I am not the only one who thinks Barret resembled Uncle Phil more than any of these fool's suggestions. Did someone say Ving Rhames would make a good Barret along with Vin Diesel making a good Scryer?

Ugh... At times like this it makes me feel wonderment that blind people can find their way here to post that. How else would you explain them mentioning THOSE two?
Power to the blindies!

reply

They're making a movie out of this? Aaww, man! That's another good game which is going to get a crap film adaptation!

If I was in control, though:

Nick - Michael Biehn or Christopher Lambert
Sara / Tonya - Bridgette Wilson
General - Al Pacino
Edgar - Michael Clarke Duncan
Jov - Emilio Estevez
Wei Lu - Ming-Na Wen
Wrightson - Paul Reiser
Kessler - Diane Line
