Michael Biehn seems a bit too old. He is a good actor, but too old. I mean Barret is hands-down Michael Clarke Duncan. I mean, I think they had Duncan in mind when they wrote the character and drew him. Tara Reid is cool, I am indifferent. Actually, for Nick Scyer, I could see Thomas Jane, Aaron Eckhert, Matthew McConnaughey, or Timothy Olyphant. I see Scryer in his middle-to-late 30s, someone younger than 40 but with enough years of experience as a soldier. Ian McShane as the General would be awesome. He is chilling and tough as Al Swearegan on Deadwood. He's believable in a fight scene, and he's good to work with from what I hear. And his American accent is good, if he can add a bit of country brogue to it.

pretty good cast, cept for tony shaloub. the guys bald and also i think they shoudl cast a russian actor with long hair and thats not widely known buy western audiences. i think cole hauser would be a good scryer, but if michael beihn gets offered the part then i would like to see him in the role regardless of his age (the guy is a great action star and have heaverly enjoyed his roles in terminator, aliens, the rock).
