Watched in theater. Loved it. Better than DVD, which I own.

I had watched this movie in theater, eventhough I already own a legal copy of the DVD.

I loved it. What a great feast for the eyes. It is just amazing. Shockingly beautiful. Better than on my TV.

Besides much more and richer details, I noticed two other things.

1. When people are flying in the air, jumping really high, or falling down, they do not look perfectly natural on my small TV. They fall or rise too slowly. They feel perfectly natural on the big screen in theater. That is a nice discovery. After all, this was made for big screens, not my small TV.

2. Cecilia Cheung looks much older on big screen than on my TV. On my TV, she looks young and beautiful. On the big screen, she looks old and used. That makes sense. After all, the charactor is nothing but a sex toy for the king. She was not a princess.

How about much much better looking, and makes much much more sense.
If I want a good story, I read a book. If I want a story that makes almost perfect sense, I read history book. Want to know more about the decline and fall of Roman Empire? Read Gibben.

When I go to a movie, it better be good looking.

Oh, yes. The two Hong Kong stars are really just stars. They cannot act.
