Is Mr Sanada dubbed over in this, or does he speak Mandarin himself? Saw it recently and while I only have beginners' mandarin and probably sounds like it as well I thought I could make out something of an accent but I could have been wrong.

He speaks Mandarin in this movie. I thought he had an annoying accent, considering he was Japanese.

Cool, thanks! It probably sounds annoying enough when you know the language! Still all the power to him for doing an entire film in a foreign language.
