If the Manticor is an indian(meaning India) creature than why was the movie done in Iraq.

reply

Because in this movie, it was a Persian creature.

And they wanted to do a movie about American troops vs. a monster - we don't have troops fighting in India.

Yet. :p

reply

Well, they could have made it so that it was UN Peacekeeping troops under command by Americans being ambushed in the Kashmir part of India.

reply

They could have. But it would appear that they wanted to set it in Iraq. o they did. :) Manticores are make-believe anyway, so it doesn't really matter too much where they (don't) exist.

reply

They couldn't use UN troops because UN troops' guns are carried unloaded to prevent accidents. Have you ever heard of UN troops shooting at anyone?

reply

Actually the manticore is from Persian mythology, not Hindu.

reply

The movie was actually filmed in Bulgaria, not Iraq. (I know it is supposed to be set in Iraq, I'm just making small talk.)

reply

Yes, I noticed that suddenly Bulgaria is a desert wasteland like Iraq. Where did they REALLY shoot this movie?

reply

It REALLY was shot in Bulgaria.
