I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure it's an Russian 'BRDM 2 APC'.
shareThank you, I guess you´re right

And an APC is not a tank..very very far from it.
shareWell actually the APC is a Soviet BTR 60 http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/b/bc/BTR-60PB_DA-ST-89-06597.jpg/800px-BTR-60PB_DA-ST-89-06597.jpg
BRDM 2 is a smaller recon vehicle
how sad that they could not even afford some used Hummers.
What a sad sad film
Well, no H1 Hummers were imported into Bulgaria (until recently) and the armored vehicles are just sitting around over there. Actually the lighter Warsaw Pact Armored vehicles 'COULD' possibly pass for a USMC LAV (though it's obsolete now). I'm more forgiving of them not being able to import AMERICAN armored vehicles into a foreign country. The shipping costs alone is more than the budge of the movie.
BUT!!!! With a little plywood and paint, they could have made those BTR-60s look alot like American STRYKER armored vehicles! Too bad they didn't think of that.

If my memory serves me correctly, it's a BTR-60. Though, it's been a long time since I was in the military and even longer since I had to memorize all of that stuff for Bradley qualifications.
I'm pretty amazed at how fake the military equipment is.
Their kevlars look plastic and have blatantly fake chin straps. Their rifles also appear to be something besides M16/AR16 and are just close replicas--I didn't get a good look but the forward assists didn't like right and the magazines were definitely wrong. Their American flag patches were also backwards.
The rifles were AR-180's dressed up to look like M-16's. It was pretty obvious from where the buttstock connected to the receiver. On an M-16, there is a straight line over the top of the buttstock and the receiver. On the AR-180, the buttstock connects to the receiver at a lower point, and the top of the receiver is therefor a little higher up.

Uh, no. The M16s are dressed up AK47s. They are mounted with 10 round magazines but they are definitely AKs NOT AR-180s. Besides, if they could get AR18s or 180s in Bulgaria, they could get M16s....

Do you even know what an AK look like? There is no way that those were AK's. They were AR-180's. It was obvious. They in no way resemble AK's.

That seems like a really obscure weapon for such a low budget movie. I would have guessed some eastern bloc weapon gussied up to look like an M-16.
