Just read it; did you read it in high school?

I was recommended to read this story and loved it. I wrote a little story with a decent and odd ending but a weak middle and someone said I should read The Lottery. Why the hell didn't I read this before? I told some friends about it and they all said they had to read it in high school. I had to read stupid stuff not brilliant stories like this. Anyway, I have not seen this movie. Do you think I could find it on youtube or something?

I had never heard of it until I was in college and I saw this version of it and this was in 1994. I had no idea what was going to happen. I loved it
