What did the cripple guy say to Barnes that pissed him off so bad ? I played that scene over several times and I could not understand what he said.

Actually in England, "bugger" is used as a slang insult.

many of the male characters called him 'buggering bobby barnes', and made comments implying he liked to (tried to) have sex with them. that's why jimmy acted oddly around him in the gym scene, saying 'he wasn't like that' when bobby barnes asked him to come by his house later. but they also were all afraid of him, and nobody else would dare call him 'buggering bobby barnes' to his face, except for louie in the wheelchair who didn't know any better.
