LOW RATING?

Why does this movie have such a low rating?

reply

Because it's pretentious, badly written, badly acted, badly filmed rubbish that for the most part makes no sense. I think that clears it up!

I went to kelis's yard for some milkshake, it was only O.K.

reply

Yea, that kind of explained it. Thanks.

reply

Because most people like movies that make sense.

reply

Making sense is for normal people. Having said that, I haven't seen this film and it may well be crap.

I honestly didn't think it was that bad. There were doubles, reflexivity, etc. that made it interesting--kinda like a De Palma movie. There were a lot of beautiful shots--the faces reflected in the broken mirror really stood out to me. I think you just have to go with the flow a little bit on this one, don't think too much about the dialogue and just get off on the visuals. Mulholland Drive has been mentioned a lot on the board, but I found this more interesting than that, what with it's cliche "it was all a dream ending." Think Bunuel, srsly.
