Fancying james
OMG I saw this film last night and I love it!
But I do feel slightly odd that I fancied James as Rory! Does anyone else?
James Mcavoy is a brillinat actor and very good looking! phwoar
Why did u feel wierd, if it is because he is disabled then it was pointless you watching this film because u obviously still are prejudice towards disabled people if u think it is odd to fancy one. If this is not the case im sorry but if it is u really need to look again at your attitude.
shareits ok, i dont think its very predjudice. i fancied him more in this film than bright young things, where he wore fancy period clothing, that is usually when i loooooovvvvvee looooovvve looove men. but i think it was his performance as a fun, happy person! i just wish he didnt die at the end.
p.s. while i was first watching it i thought seriously that he and siobhan were gonna hook up, did any one find it misleading? especially in that scee where he was laying and she bends down and says coyly, 'mr interpreter'

shareYeah, I thought Rory and Siobhan were going to get together. I think she did love him though, when she came back after she'd stormed out and put him to bed, and after he'd died and she was sitting in his bedroom, they were touching scenes.

p.s. even jake gyllenhal has said he doesnt get donnie darko. i dont really know anyone who does. but it is still awesome.
Donnie Darko takes several normal viewings and possibly several viewings with director commentary before you get it...
But it can be done!
However, how could anyone not finish this movie? My Mother couldn't finish it because it was too sad and she had to leave the room, but other than that, how could someone not like this movie? It was very VERY well done with superb performances all around.
You Can't Stop the Signal
I agree with the earlier poster that said they liked James more in this than Bright Young Things. Although overall I do prefer him with dark hair, I still thought he absolutely gorgeous in this film. He has lovely eyes and a great smile.
And as cute as Jake is, I'd choose James over him. I'm sure James would be relieved to know that...

OMG Donnie Darko is awesome. It's pretty simple to get after a couple of watches.So clever and orginal.

Aah, I didn't get to see the end... he died?? That's like.. muy triste. Gaah. I was watching it and I was like, "He looks deathly familiar." And it was Mr. Tumnus from Narnia (great book, adorable movie) And I was like, "No wonder I thought he was so good looking!" -slaps self in head-
I didn't feel bad for liking him, he was a catch. But I loved Michael Connolly. He was adorable.

over-reacting much. they probably only thought it was weird because he's not one of the typical pin up guys people talk about and stuff, or cause he was punky and that not the usual 'spiffing' attire. and the person that said 'if you thought it was weird fancying him in a wheelchair..' read the post, not the reaction. they never said it was cause he was a disabled character (yes character), they just said james as rory. that could mean as in the guy who played rory, or because of what gear he was in..it's not like he was facially disfigured and she thought it was weird to fancy him...like i said maybe he just isn't the typical pin up guy and that's why she thought she might be weird for fancying! but don't be ashamed love there's always other people that like em somewhere even if everyone you know seems to go ugh nah
