Michael dancing with Siobhan

I have a question about the costume party scene.

When Michael was dancing with Siobhan, what exactly made her stop dancing with him?
Was he squeezing her a bit too tight or something?

I just know they're dancing, and he wraps his arms around her waist and she starts struggling.
He has to be pried off her, and she says "I'm sorry" and starts dancing with her friend again.

So what was the problem?

I think Siobhan was uncomfortable because she was aware that Michael fancied her, but she didn't feel the same way and didn't want to make it seem as though she did by dancing with him.

i though michael got an erection again, cause siobhan said something like "not here" or "not now" or something.

i think its mainly that she is aware of hid feelings towards her. in the previous scene rory said something along the lines that michael thinks tonight could be his lucky night, so she doesnt want to lead him on.

hope that made sense, im half asleep so i think that may have been a ramble lol

Yeah i agree with the above comments, apart from the boner one! In the film Michael keeps saying how much he loves her and i think he just felt that she felt the same for him and thats why he was really clinging to her. I think she just felt really uncomfortable because the feelings were not equal or anything.

micheal(spelling?) was touching her bum.

That whole scene was heartbreaking.

"That whole scene was heartbreaking."

Especially the deleted scene. Anyone see it? Rory has a small monologue, telling her how much he loves her (though, he says he's "translating" for Michael). Ugh, my heart broke for him.

If you wake up in the morning, it's because Jack Bauer spared your life.

i saw that scene! it was so sad. i don't know why they left
it out. without it the rory/siobhan side of the love triangle is
under represented and i think it's just as important...

i think the point was she actually kind of liked rory too but
denied it and then felt guilty about it...but it was so subtle
i wasn't sure till the scene on the bridge after she's left and
he says he's had his heart broken too... james mcavoy is bloody brilliant

I honestly think he was getting clingy and she was getting a bit selfconcous. after all the guy she had a bit of a crush on was staring . and michael was pretty much getting carried away.

Hi, I know it's late but after I've watched it over and over again (lol, after 11 years!) I found out that when they're dancing, Michael kisses Siobhan's arm (then Rory gave her a 'I've told you' stare). It make her realized that she was gave Michael a "wrong signal". Eg: Kisses Michael's forehead after they're arrived to the party. But when Michael do the same (kisses her arm), she just aware that she's go too far. That was heartbreaking :')
