Should have been a short film, not a feature!

First off, the IMDB plot summary starts with the line: 25-year-old Alex Borden is handsome, charming, and intelligent. 8-o Yeah, riiight, he is NONE of those things! He's ugly, socially inept, and has a great mental 'capacity' but lacks the intelligence to use it. Anyways, that aside, this film is incredibly tedious as a feature length film, even though it does have some decent scenes, and an interesting core plot. It would be much better trimmed down to 45 minutes at the very least, and would then be suitable for some sort of Twilight Zone/Outer limits type episode.

As a feature length film i would rate this as well below par, as a short, this would be an interesting little film. Shame the plot was so drawn out and tedious. If you watch the first ten minutes, then ffwd through most of the next 50 minutes and watch it from the meeting with the pyschologist just before the meeting with the Russian bloke, it actally makes the film a lot less tedious.

Anyone else think this would make a decent short instead of a boring feature, or is it just me?

Really old thread here, but ... yes, I thought the same. The basic premise could have worked for a Masters of Horror episode.

I like reviving old threads, and your deserves to come back from the dead zone. This film has a good 45 minutes of material spread out over 90. I didn't dislike this as most people on this board – in fact, I rather liked it, but "rather liked" is as far as I can go here.

The direction of this film was decent, the performances inconsistent, and the special effects were ridiculous. We could safely lose the monsters and focus on the lead characters interactions. As it is, this is 6/10, but it has the potential to be much more.
